  • Essential of Fundamental Common Courses is an integrated class, and Master's Research Seminar and Doctoral Research Seminar can be divided according to field.
  • Among the Essentials of Fundamental Common Courses, Introduction to Convergence Science and Technology is offered only every 1st semester, and Master's Research Seminar and Doctoral Research Seminar are only offered every 2nd semester. (Applied from the 2023 school year)
  • Among the Essentials of Fundamental Common Courses, In the colloquium, master's and doctoral course students must complete Ⅰ,Ⅱ,Ⅲ, and combined master's and doctoral course students must complete Ⅰ,Ⅱ,Ⅲ,IV,V,VI sequentially.
  • Among the elective majors, 'Special Research Methodology' can take up to 1 course for master's course students, 2 courses for doctoral course students, and 3 courses for combined master's and doctoral course students.
  • Excess credits from Fundamental Common Courses are recognized as Selective Courses.
  • For those who shorten the class period, research guidance credits are reduced by the amount of the shortened semester.

  • The total credits for completion of KU-KIST School consist of course credits and research guidance credits, and course credits are divided into Fundamental Common Courses (Essential) and Selective Courses.
  • Fundamental Common Courses consist of subjects that teach the basic courses required for NBIT convergence majors.
  • Selective Courses correspond to advanced courses in the major

Fundamental Common Courses

01. EssentialCourses
  • Essential Courses must be completed regardless of degree course
  • Introduction to Convergence Science and Technology is an introduction to various convergence science and technology and an understanding of related basic technologies.
  • Colloquium is a course to invite prominent figures from home and abroad in related fields to hold seminars and induce discussions with students. Learn about the latest research trends in the field of convergence science and technology.
  • Master's Research Seminar and Doctoral Research Seminar aim at systematic knowledge acquisition and research in the field through individual seminar presentations on specific topics in NBIT convergence-related fields
02. EssentialSelction
  • The Fundamental Common Courses Selection consists of basic common courses for each specific field.

Selective Courses

  • Depending on the degree program, select and take the credits required for completion among the organized courses.
  • The student selects and takes classes under the guidance of the academic advisor among the fields of research that the student is interested in or is conducting.

Research Guidance Credits

  • A total of 8 credits for master's and doctoral courses, and a total of 16 research guidance credits for 8 semesters for combined master's and doctoral courses are obtained, and students receive professional guidance from their advisor in their major area.
  • Research Guidance Credits provide time to discuss research and dissertation in the field of major each semester with the advisor. Master's course, doctoral course, and combined master's and doctoral course must be completed for 2 hours per week during the course period.
  • Graduates are continuously guided in their research abilities through completion research guidance. Master's course, doctoral course, and combined master's and doctoral course must be completed for 2 hours per week during the course period.
